I ate all weekend.....

I can't for the life of me figure out how I don't weigh 100 pounds more than I do.......I eat and eat and eat!
After cleaning for several hours on Saturday, we drove down to York and had drinks and dinner at Harp and Fiddle. A great little Irish Pub on N. George Street......only a few blocks for the esteemed Courthouse, home of Napolean himself! I had a chocolate banana martini that had some serious amounts of alcohol in it. I was slightly dizzy before my meal arrived! I had lamb chops for dinner, they were fantastic. Mike had some sort of stew with sausage, chicken breast, shrimp, white beans and other stuff in it. Everything was great!
Sunday I took the normal trek to the grocery store after a non-eventful stop at Linens N Things.
I was so hungry in the grocery store that I bought tons of fresh vegetables, came home and whipped up a feast. Chicken, broccoli, carrots, mushrooms, onions, snap peas and a huge pan of fried rice. YUM. Mike says I outdid myself. We feasted then promptly moved to the couches and got horizontal, well I did anyway, Mike had to watch his ebay auction to make sure he got the money he wanted for his wheels. He got what he wanted.

Mike and I just pulled out a calendar and wrote down what we are doing for the next 6 weeks. I have a party/gathering of some sort EVERY weekend from now until April 15th! Crazy!

Gotta go watch the rest of the closing ceremony.......Ricky Martin is going to be on at some point. Can't miss that!!

Another Birthday Party.........

Friday night a bunch of friends went out to celebrate Kristie Bundro's birthday. We met at the Brewhouse in Camp Hill......great beer, great food, great shots! (Thank you Russel for the shots!)

Kristie was doing tricks to entertain her guests. (some thing with a knife) My favorite trick was her crawling under the table to get out to go to the bathroom.

The party was fun.......lots of laughs and this time not at the expense of the birthday girl!

The rest of the weekend was also nice. For the most part, Saturday I cleaned, grocery shopped and relaxed. I also attempted to take advantage of the shoe sale at Bon Ton but .........can you believe I didn't find a single pair of shoes that I liked?? That is unheard of!

Sunday I picked up the neices around noon and brought them here for the day. They played and watched Charlotte's Web, then we had dinner and I took them home to sleep. Cal and Amy returned from their trip around 12:45 so I took off and got home at 1:30am. Needless to say I was a tired little camper today. Luckily it was a slow day at work due to the Holiday. I did get to watch Russel clean his office like the dedicated Virgo he is. He's crazy. He was going to town in there with those wipe things, dusting, cleaning, straightening up, crazy but hilarious to watch!

1 day down............4 to go until the next fun filled weekend! I have a 'martini party' to attend on Saturday night so I'm sure there will be some interesting stories to tell.

Valentine's Day at the Hebe Household

Yes, I know it's a day early, but as many of you know I have zero patience and Mike has only slightly more than zero when it comes to giving me presents.
So......as he was wandering around the kitchen grumbling about wanting something sweet to eat, I ran upstairs and brought him a box wrapped in red paper and said "here....Happy Valentine's Day". He opened the box, pulled out one gift that's not edible and immediately dove into the first tub of Chocolate Cashew Clusters.
Then......he goes upstairs and brings me a LARGE box wrapped in red paper. I scramble to open it (everyone knows I rip and tear with the best of them) and check this out!!:

It's a Bose Sounddock Digital Music System. Yep-that's my little nano hooked into it. Isn't it great? I can jam to my downloaded tunes without having to use my earphones! I love it! And check out the home-made card. You know I'm into scrapbooking and card making, it seems the Legend got into my stuff and made me a card! Very nice! What a doll. Oh- there was also another gift card for ITunes so I can download even more crazy music! (Seriously, I'm not spoiled!)

Somehow I'm thinking the two tubs of Gertrude Hawke chocolate and the 'other little gift' I got him don't stand up to this! Maybe I'll send him flowers at his work tomorrow! Oh-wait, will Royers follow him around in his car all day until they catch up with him? I don't think so, but I could always have them delivered to Holmes!

Gotta go play with my new toy...Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

Awesome....

The 4 hour drive in horrible Philly traffic was well worth it........

After 1 wrong turn, and an hour or so of bumper to bumper traffic, we finally got on the AC Expressway around 7:15, drove 85mph all the way to The Borgata. Dropped the car off at the valet, ran upstairs, went potty, grabbed a cocktail and into the Event Center we went.

Let me say the Borgata is a beautiful place. I definitely need to go stay there for a weekend.

Anyway.......the important stuff, RICKY MARTIN. The event took place in a ballroom at The Borgata in Atlantic City. Small venue which means up close and personal! It was great. They had seats on the floor and had risers set up behind the seats. Our seats were in the risers, but fear not, Stacy and I went down to the floor for a few songs at the end. Awesome. He sang and danced to me-I mean US for about 2 hours. Two solid hours of sheer and utter beauty........you men should think about learning how to dance, it's a sure fire way to snag chicks!

The drive home was cake compared to the drive down. Straight through Philly at midnight and home by 2. Cake. The girls in the car actually stayed awake with me for most of the drive home, most impressive!

I think I'm going to put in a RM DVD, i'm having withdrawal.........

In exactly 24 hours from right now...(8:00pm EST)

.........I will be in Atlantic City with some crazy friends watching Ricky Martin shake his bon-bon. I can't wait.
I've taken so much shit from co-workers over this trip it's not even funny. One girl laughed out loud so long I didn't think she going to stop! Then there's the other knucklehead who's trying to ruin the fantasy by reminding us of that jack-ass William Hung and his ridiculous version of She Bangs. I'd like to bang that William Hung in the head with a bat! Anyway......it will be a blast.

Dont' forget to buy your lottery tickets for Saturday! It's up to 250 million so far. If I win I'll send you all postcards from the Carribbean...........on the beach with a drink in my hand.

Mike......stay awake until at least 11 tomorrow, in case I need to call and break some news to you!

Thank You Steelers!!!!!!

Phew.......they won! I'm guaranteed at least 2 happy people at work tomorrow! One of the VIP's is off tomorrow to recouperate from today's festivities, but the other 2 will be happy! Thank the maker!
I'm not into football, but apparently it was a decent game. I did watch the entire first half. Mike & I went to the Creelmans. Chowed on some excellent ribs and twice baked potatoes (kudos to Chef Grover for those!), chips & salsa, mixed some drinks, broke the blender. Yep- Matt put me in charge of the blender and I busted the thing on the first round of drinks. Their blender has (or I should say HAD) this silly flimsy rubbery lid. So I mix everything in, slap the lid on and hold it with my hand and turn on. As it's blending......I feel the hard clear plastic round thing in the middle of the lid slipping downward, right into the blender....ggrrccchhhh.......weird noises as I'm holding my hand over the hole in the top and getting Margarita stuff all over the place. Mike turns off the blender and yep, that round plastic thing is now in several pieces, all chewed up in our Margaritas! So.........we get a strainer........there's NO WAY we are wasting a pitcher of Margaritas!.........we pour them into a strainer to get out the sharp pieces of plastic that are in them and darn they were good- plastic and all! I'm going to have to find a replacement piece for that lid. Sorry folks!
So I was fired from blender duty right away and was then forced to watch the entire first half. I think that was the most I've ever watched of a football game. Loved the commercials too.
Two beers and some margarita's later........we took off for home during halftime because I was ready to get into my 'comfortable clothes' and get horizontal.
Game's over, I can go to bed knowing tomorrow won't be excrutiatingly horrible, just slightly horrible!

Football Shmootball

3 days till the ‘big game’…..I really don’t care for football that much, but this year I do have a vested interest in the game. I’m hoping the Steelers kick some ass. I would hate to go into work on Monday and have some of my ‘peeps’ be grumping all week about the Steelers losing. Normally I wouldn’t care, but these particular ‘peeps’ are VIP’s – VERY important peeps! (No need to mention names, they know who they are and only 1 or 2 of them even read this.) So…….RMsquared- here’s to hoping the Steelers win!

We’re heading over to the Creelman’s new digs to watch the game. Matt’s cooking some ribs, we’ll have a few beers…….all will be good….as long as the Steelers win that is. I look on the bright side, it's a reason to get together with friends and throw back a few ice cold ones! Roxanne’s been skipping around the office singing some ridiculous “steelers are gonna win” tune that she made up, and she has signs posted outside her office. Boy I hope they win! I’d hate to have to sass her on Monday! If they lose, maybe I’ll come up with some sneaky way of saying “steeler” in our 9am staff meeting on Monday, you know- see if anybody catches it. I figure if Roxanne can mention Aliens during the meeting, I can definitely sneak in the word 'steeler'. heheheheeeeeeee
