On the way to Cape May....

I don't know how we did it, but we did it. We successfully packed the Jeep with 3 days worth of stuff for 3 girls and a 36 inch television. Needless to say, I could not see out the back window, and poor Michele in the back seat couldn't move enough to get her seatbelt on during the trip down. Cindy packed enough scrapbooking stuff that Michele and I could have brought nothing but our pictures and just used Cindy's stuff and wouldn't have put a dent in it. She had 4 bags of supplies, Michele had 3 and I had 2. Then there were pillows, an inflatable bed, food, alcohol, the laptop, and the television. I really could have used a nail file but there was NO ROOM!

We got to Cape May about 9:30, unpacked, relaxed and had a few drinks. Buttery nipples. Yum. Michele never had them before but she sure liked them! Off to bed around 1am, up at 8 (ugh) and off to the Hotel by 9:45. We sat with 4 girls from Connecticut who were an absolute riot. It was like having a mirror beside us because they acted the same exact way we did. We laughed for about 15 hours and called it quits at 1am. Here are a few quotes:

Kelly from Connecticut pretending she's still on the phone with her 11 year old: "Tell your father he's a dickhead".......we roared because we thought she actually said it to him! She didn't.

Me talking to Michele about the Buttery Nipples we drank the night before: "I almost died when you called them Fuzzy Nipples when we were in bed last night." (Imagine hearing that from complete strangers! Mass hysteria broke out.)

Saturday we scrapped from 10am till 2am. Once 11 o'clock rolled around and we started drinking Mud Slides and bottles of wine I was pretty much done. I had a great massage at 9:30 so I was nice and relaxed. We packed up around 2, said our goodbyes, paid our bills from shopping and went back to the condo. Off to sleep around 3 and slept a little past 10am today.
On the way home we stopped at the Rio Grande Diner for an awesome breakfast (at 12:30). We all were craving eggs! It was delicious!! There was a little rain on the way home but I pulled in the garage by 5, safe and sound.

I'm soooooooooo tired! All that laughing really took it out of me!

Works of Art

Some people love Monet or Picasso.......they've got nothing on these babies. Yep, that's right- perfect feet. I don't see any crustacean looking things....just pure beauty. Have you ever seen such lovely feet? Even in winter?? I haven't. Check out the toes, all in a nice little row, none of that 'my 2nd toe is longer than my first' crap. Pure perfection.

Onto my weekend. Last night we headed over to Underdogs to see Nate Myers and the Aces. They were great. We hooked up with Lisa and friends, Kevin, Russel, the Lyons, the Thompsons, it was nice to see everyone! Boy did we laugh! I'm not going to name names, BUT....someone ran into their 5th & 6th grade crush at the get together. What a riot. I can't wait until my next bunko game, I'm going to have to bring a wheel barrow for all the dirt I'm going to be getting! hahahahhaaaaaaaa

I woke up around 10, putzed around for a few hours while Mike rode his bike. Then I made a kick-ass quiche for brunch. It was fantastic, eggs, cheese and sausage in a pie crust. YUM. We chowed. After all that hard work in the kitchen I decided to go for a pedicure and manicure. I deserved it!

Tomorrow I shop.

Click click..."There's no place like home" click click

I survived the trip to Manayunk. It was a good time. During Mike's MAC Promotor's meeting I met up with a friend of mine Tara and we hit the closest bar for a drink, food and chocolate cake!
Then we walked around and shopped for a little, trying not to blow away in the 40 mile per hour wind and rain. Fun.

Tara dropped me off at the bike shop at 6 and I waited until the meeting was over for Mike to join me. I had to laugh..........3 or 4 people walked by and said to me "Hey- Jackie Brown"...funny. They had a nice awards ceremony and I finally got to put some faces to the names I hear alot. The party started to wrap up around 8 so Mike and I began to pack up and head to the parking lot/garage.

Now......this is interesting..........we get to the garage (still the 40mph wind and SNOW) carrying a laptop, a large cooler and a box of something or other and voila, there's the Jeep. Parked in by some fancy schmancy Infinity. The Valet comes over to move the Infinity and "OOPS- I don't know how to turn the engine on". You can imagine what was flying out of my mouth at this knucklehead. WTF! This car has a 'smart key' but you cannot turn the engine on without the 'real key' which the moron at the garage didn't keep when the owner parked the damn thing!
FURY was rising in me as I sat in the Jeep with the window down telling 3 grown men to "READ THE OWNERS MANUAL FOLKS!" Mike got the manual out (meanwhile the 'moron' who works there is going about his business, not really helping) and still couldn't figure this thing out. I'm yelling "put it in neutral and push the damn thing back 10 feet". It was an interesting scene. Fort James stuck around and tried to help for a few, then took off. About 5 minutes after he took off, Mike was still sitting in the driver's seat of this car and here come the owners..........5 of them. Uh-oh. This TALL dude with serious dreads walks in and goes "hey- that's my car". I immediately start yelling out the window of the Jeep "I'm sooooo glad you are here! I've never been so happy to see someone!!!" They laughed. They also told us that they TOLD the moron valet that he could NOT move the car without the key.....which he didn't ask them to leave. IDIOT.

So we left. Finally. Interesting drive home. Very windy, snow, some sleet and ONIONS. I don't know what those Greeks marinated the onions in that were in the wraps, but I bet if I go out to the Jeep right now I can still smell them. I kept opening Mike's window and making him exhale out the window. Gross.

We finally got home around 10:30 to NO FREAKING ELECTRICITY! Yep- NONE. No power whatsoever. I called Wendy to ask how long this BS had been going on. She said since 8pm. So we lit some candles, changed into sweats and hopped in bed. Freezing cold. I then woke up at 5am and noticed the clock was blinking so I came downstairs to check the temperature. FIFTY-F&$%ING-SIX! The thermostat was not back on. I pulled it off the wall and shoved it back on and it came on reading 56. It's been running since 5 and it's not 11:20 and we're finally up to 66.......ah............heatwave.

Now that my neck is sore from sleeping in the tundra in a screwed up position trying to keep warm, I may just need to go get a massage.

I hope you all had a nice weekend and kept warmer than we did!

Ahh.....the weekend is almost here.......

It's been a long week and I've got a busy weekend coming up. Lots of fun.

I started out prepping for the weekend by attending a Body Shop party at my neighbor Jess's house. So.......for all of you who know me so well.....let's just say my already perfect feet are looking and feeling fabulous right now! We did a foot spa pedicure thingy. Soaked our feet, scrubbed them, moisturized them.......DK I know you're dying to see my feet right now!

Tomorrow night I've got Bunko at the "Bunko Nazi's" house. Sharon. What a scream. She's so insane about the bunko get togethers and she's a great hostess! Lots of food, wine, beer, fun! Last time she fed us a 5 course meal........Lasagna, some fancy salad with homemade dressing, garlic bread, appetizers, homemade desserts........craziness!

Saturday me and the Legend are off to Manayunk for the MAC party. Mid-Atlantic Cyclo-Cross. Fun. Me, the hub and 80 other people.........including about 8 which I actually know enough to talk to. Oh well, give me a few drinks and I'll be buds with all of them in no time. They really are a fun group of people. I'm looking forward to seeing little Dieter and of course Tom McDaniel who is by far one of the nicest people I've ever met.

Sunday.....hmm........Sunday? What do I normally do on Sunday? Sleep in. Eat. Shop. Lay on the couch watching cheezy movies. Shop. I think i'll go shopping. Spring is around the corner so I feel the need to purchase some new clothes. Sounds like a great idea. Mike will go ride and I will go shop. Yep, that's the plan.

Monday's a state holiday so there will be fewer people in the office than there normally are. Doesn't mean I won't be any less busy and insane, but there will be fewer busy and insane people in there with me. Not bad.

Have a great weekend!

"Update this thing!"

Since "me" and "dk" (Mike and Don) are griping that I have too much time on my hands and I need to update this thing..........here it is. Here's my week in a nutshell.

Monday- Shopping-to almost no avail. I normally LOVE it but it sucked. I was trying to buy pants, they were either 3 inches too long, or the petites were an inch too short for my liking.
I tried on 15 pair and bought one that i'm going to have to get hemmed before i can wear them. Bummer

Tuesday- Work. Sucked.

Wednesday- Work again. Sucked again.

Thursday - Work again. Still sucked.

Friday- Last day of sucky work. Came home, made dinner, paid bills, signed up for my 3 day scrapbooking weekend in Cape May, organized my scrapbooking crap so I'm ready, made a shopping list for tomorrow (heading to Michael's to use my gift certificates to buy yet MORE scrapbooking crap).
One of the only good things that happened today was I received my RICKY MARTIN tickets in the mail! Atlantic City here we come!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone!
What a great night. Went to dinner at Zia's with DK, Erin, Steph and Lib. Interestingly enough, we discovered that Steph and Erin already know each other! That was cool. We had a nice dinner, lots of laughs as everyone always does when Lib is telling stories.
After dinner Steph & Steve went home to take care of the dogs while Erin, Don, Mike and I came back to our house, got into our PJ's and played some games. Mike and I kicked Kessel butt at MadGab. I think Don threw the game intentionally but none the less, HE LOST.

Don also set up 2 links on my blog (see right)....The Boyfriend is a direct link to his blog. He's been coined 'my boyfriend' for several years now. I think it all started when we had our first date to the Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre to see Grease. He purchased tickets but his date backed out so naturally I was his second choice.
The 2nd link ...The Husband...is of course a link to my hub's blog. Be SURE to read and comment on the post regarding the fixie and Crash Schmash. (help me out here folks, I won a bet fair and square and I'm still waiting for the payoff!)

Back to New Year's Eve.....it was low key here at Casa Hebe.....everyone pretty much relaxed in front of the telly and had come cocktails. At midnight we went out front to watch the fireworks display put on by none other than "Neighbor Bob". Quite nice!

Wendy called from Mississippi at midnight to say Happy New Year and let me know she and Scott had been sitting at the same Pai Gow table since noon! Hilarious.

Today I'm going to take down the Christmas Tree, do some exercise, watch movies and get ready to go shopping tomorrow. I love shopping, even when I don't really need anything, I just love it.
