I Made Strides Today!!!!!!!!

I was truely honored, surprised and inspired today.

Today I did the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk in Harrisburg with my team, Hebe's Pinky Pact. It was a wonderful feeling to have over 20 people show up to walk with me.
I am honored.

There was a HUGE surprise for me when we arrived. My dear dear friend Brent, who I didn't know was even coming to walk, showed up. Not only did he show up to support and walk with me, he had been campaining on his own for me (without my knowledge) and brought with him a stack of checks totaling over $1200.00. I was so surprised and shocked that I could do nothing but shake and cry as I read the card signed by his donors, 95% of whom I have never even met. I am completely speechless. I am so touched to have someone do that for me, words cannot begin to explain how I feel.

It was cold and breezy but we had a wonderful day. I ran into an old old neighbor (from when I was in elementary school) who is also a survivor. I got to see her, her sister and her mom who I haven't seen in over 25 years. Sarah was diagnosed 3 months before me and has just finished her chemo and is doing great. It was so wonderful to see her, Janie and their mom. I spent the first 10 years of my life sleeping at their house on weekends with them and I will never forget all the fun we had.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to me financially and emotionally, you are the best. I am a lucky girl to have people in my life like you. I just can't believe it.

My team finished 6th in the top 10 fund raisers! $5800.00 was raised.
I finished 6th for the top individual fund raisers.......$2800.00. I am now what's called a "Pacesetter". I'm going to double this amount for next year!

A special thanks to Dan for all your support through this. I know it has been rough on you and I thank you for hanging in there with me!!

Thank you to the following family and friends who walked with me today:
Dan, Dustin, Douglas, Dad, Susan, Pam, Joann, Sue, Mel, Karen, Dave, Kristen, Gabby, Angie, Michaela, Denise, Stacy, Kelly, Katie, Kimmy, Amy, Denise, Cindy and Brent.
You guys are the best!!!!!!!!!!! I love you all!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone! I have had a fabulous one so far! Thank you!

Halfway Done!!!

As of yesterday, I'm halfway done with chemo! I thought it would never get here!
The next 4 rounds are to have different side effects, more bone/muscle pain and no nausea! Yeah!

Next Saturday the 18th is the walk on City Island. I have 20 wonderful people walking with me and about 65 other wonderful people who donated money to my team. We are almost at $3500.00 raised for Breast Cancer Reasearch. I am so thankful to everyone who had donated, you have no idea how grateful I am.

After all this is over I will be celebrating my birthday a few weeks late. January 3rd. Already rented the gorgeous place, just need to get together with Betty Crocker to see what kind of food we are making...........it is going to be fabulous. Invites will come out in early December.

Enjoy the weekend!

Kinoki Foot Pads Part 2

OMG......I actually know and LIKE someone who is using these things! I almost peed myself when she told me she was using these foot pads at night and feels like a million bucks when she wakes up. I thought she was joking for the first 10 minutes. I'm telling you, I can't believe it.

Go to buykinoki.com to view the scam for yourself. Apparently they are available at Wal Mart down south. Not sure if they're available in Central PA, I'll have Creelman check it out since he's the one who brought this to my attention months ago.

What a nice weekend. After a week of feeling lousy, I finally feel great!
Went to Color Me Mine last night. Baseball today, outdoor movie night tonight, and extended family day at the movies is tomorrow. Cool.

Christmas is 3 months away and I've bought and wrapped 20 presents already! Tee-hee!!

I've rented a place to hold my 40th Birthday Party! It will be a month late due to my current health state, but it's going to be fantastic. The place is absolutely beautiful. Betty Crocker and I, among others, will be cooking for the event. I can't wait. It gives me something to look forward to after 6 months of sheer hell. It will be interesting to see if I can survive even one drink after not drinking for 6 months. Maybe we'll have some side betting going on.

Have a great weekend everyone! Don't forget to go to Cancer.org and click on Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, then Hebe's Pinky Pact to see my teams progress! We are doing great. The walk is October 18th and I'd love to see you there!
