The Weekend

What a great relaxing weekend I had.

Friday night I had a few drinks with friends after work, then slept.

Saturday I visited the neices for a little, came home, watched a movie, then slept.

Sunday I went to a party, came home, Lisa and Sam came to visit, then slept. Lisa's visit was cut short due to 'asshole' aka Hobbes. That toothless wonder chased Lisa's dog around the house growling louder than most dogs do! Sam wimpered and tried to avoid the hissing ball of fur as best he could. Hobbes was so puffed up and pissed off that I was not about to go near him to get him away from the dog. So Lisa, Sam and I went out and sat on the deck. Damn cat.

Today we went over to my bro's house and flopped in the pool for a few hours. Riley and Maggie were loving it. Both of them were in the water the whole time I was there. (Last year Mags screamed her head off for the first 5 minutes she was in.) Apparently they are taking swimming lessons in a few weeks.....that should be interesting. There's Maggie who holds onto your fingers like there's no tomorrow, and there's Riley who doesn't need help with anything......she can do it all by herself. Good luck teach!

It was a nice weekend!

Pam and Joann

The weekend didn't go as I planned. I wanted to go test drive the Mustang but I didn't have the time. The father of one of my oldest and dearest friends, Joann, passed away last week. I spent a lot of time with her and her family this weekend. It was wonderful to have all of us together for an extended time, but the circumstances were horrible. My heart goes out to the family and friends of Joe Britt. He was a wonderful father, grandfather and friend to many. He is missed.

Events like the death of a loved one remind you how important friends are. I would do pretty much anything for my friends (except commit a serious crime, hahaha), and I know a bunch of them who would do the same for me. They are the friends you may not talk to or see every day or week, but you know when you need them they will pull through for you.

Pam, Joann and I have been friends since kindergarten. That's a LONG time.......30 years. We've had tons of laughs, we've gone on vacations together, we've argued, we've agreed, we've disagreed, and we have remained friends for 30 years. Pam and Joann stood by me for hours on end when my Mom passed away, that was the most horrible few days in my life yet I made it though it because of friends like Pam and Joann. I can't thank them enough for what they did.

They also never forget a birthday or anniversary. I know that on any special occasion there are always 2 cards in my mailbox, one from Pam, one from Joann. They are the best friends a person could have and I am grateful that they are mine.

I love you two!

I'm In Love........

Check it out.....my new baby!

I'm heading to the dealer this weekend to buy me a 2006 Mustang GT Convertible. Yep.....4.6L 24V V8 with 320 Horsies! I NEED HORSIES!

Anyone wanna take bets on how long until I get my first ticket? Oh i can just HEAR the engine purring right now.......rrrrrrrrrrrr......rrrrrrrrrrrr. I'll never be home! But, when I do have to get home it surely won't take as long to get here!

(Did I mention the currently owned convertible was driven 308 miles since it's last inspection which was april of 05? LOL)

Idol is BORING.
No Chris
No entertainment
Who cares that the Governor of each state visited the finalists? "Not I" said the fly.

Work is insane and I'm tired. 1 more county to go! Should be interesting. We worked Saturday for about 6 hours.........exhausting after a night of hanging with friends!

Work is also a lot of laughs. "Big Bird" and M had me crying in there today! M had a list going of 'gross things I saw at work today'........included were a spider she flushed down the toilet and 2 suspect looking 'hairs'. Not sure where they were but one can only assume........Then- I go for water and there's a coffee mug beside the microwave filled with this brownish-green muddy watery stuff with a silver dollar sized piece of green fuzzy mold floating on the top of it. Yeah- I would use the sink where that science project is going on! NOT. I'd hate to see the homes of some of these people!

28 minutes until someone gets kicked off....yawn.........the best part of this is the citibank identity theft commercials! hilarious.

After a long week of work.....Friday was Bunko night at my house. We had 2 cancellations so we had to play with 2 ghosts.......not the greatest set-up but we had a great time! I had the most wins so I won $40.00 - way cool! After the game a few friends stayed and some more came over and we sat around, had drinks, and laughed at love letters written in 6th grade by 'r'. It was quite hilarious!

I worked 9-3 on Saturday then hit the mall for a little, then came home and hit the couch. I was WAY tired from being up late Friday and getting up early Saturday. I'm not a big fan of getting up early any day of the week, but on Saturday or Sunday? No way. There's no great reason for it.

Sunday I took some flowers to the cemetary then back home to do laundry. I almost napped but decided against it in the fear that I wouldn't be able to fall asleep at a decent hour tonight.
Busy week coming up.......happy hour, dinner, massage, nothing, happy hour at Lisa's. 5 nights full. Yikes!

I'd love to comment on last weeks Idol show but it was such a let down i'm not going to depress anyone anymore than they already are. It sucked. Period.

Auf Wiedersehen and have a great week everyone.

Three-Five-Four

Yep........354 views to the ole profile for Jackie! I just know it's the picture of my feet from a few months ago that did it. Someone has to let me know when they are having the Prettiest Feet in PA thing again, I'm going to win that one.

Work was interesting today.......there were so many fires going on in that place I was surprised there weren't multiple fire company's arriving throughout the day. What a day. Nothing little r couldn't handle. Good news is that I didn't cause any of them! Phew! Although I complain about the job sometimes, I do like it there.

Tonight I'll be hunkering down in front of the telly to watch American Idol. (no phone calls please) I must rest this week, I have a VERY busy weekend approaching. Friday is Cinco de Mayo......which means a group of us are getting together to drink/scrap Friday night. Why do I get the feeling there will be more drinking than scrapping? Oh- it's because of who's attending.
Saturday if i can get my arse out of bed AND it's not raining I will head to Millersville to watch Mike's race. Then home to lounge around before 'girls nite out'........which we still have no idea where we are going and who all is attending. Sunday i'm off with the girls for more basket bingo! Hopefully Rox will win one this time instead of winning every useless doorprize they offer like last time. Although this place has great door prizes!

Maybe i'll even squeeze a little time in this week or weekend to go test drive the Mustang that I got the quote on. Schweeet!
